人生について幕間

私は父と一緒に「Good Will Hunting」を観ました。（日本語では『グッド・ウィル・ハンティング/旅立ち』といいます）
I just watched Good Will Hunting with my father.

私は人生についていろいろなことを考えさせられました。
It made me think a lot about life.

説明するのはむずかしいけど、やってみようと思います。
Maybe it's hard to describe, but I'll try.

多くのものには微妙な関係（つりあい）があると思います。
There is a fine balance in many things.

たとえば、有益なことと自分の好きなことをやること、人に親切にしたり同情したりすること、好きと嫌い。
For example: Doing the beneficial thing, or the thing you love. Being kind, and pitying someone. Loving and hating.

私たちは周りのすべての事をコントロールすることはできません。
We cannot control everything around us.

誰かに自分の本心を打ち明けることは、怖いしどうにもならない気がします。
It is a helpless, scary feeling to open up to someone.

しかし人生は旅のようなもので、良いことも悪いこともあり、だれも皆そう感じてます。
But it's about the journey of life, with good things and bad things, we all feel it.

私たちは時に何かを信じないではいられません。
We just have to take a leap of faith sometimes.

ていうか、とにかく、人生は短過ぎるので、惨めな気持ちでいるのは良くないよね。
But anyway, basically, life's too short to be miserable.

だから、私たちは幸せになるべきだよ、ね？
So we all might as well be happy, right?

「がんばります。」
Just do your best.
