I just learned a new word 'stoke'.
How could I not know it?
Anyhow, I just wondered how you spell 'stalk' when you say 'a stalker'.
'Stoke' and 'stalk' are totally different.
In Japanese katakana, they appear completely identical.
I could pronounce them differently, and if I pay enough attention, I would probably have a little problem distinguishing the two, however, I think words like these are pretty difficult to tell apart for Japanese.

新しく stoke という単語を覚えた。
なんでこれを知らなかったんだろう?
ともあれ、ストーカーというときのストークのスペルは何だっけと思った。
stoke と stalk は全然違う。
日本語のカタカナだと全く区別ができない。
ちゃんと違うように発音できるし、注意深く聞けば聞き分けられると思うけど、こういう単語の区別って日本人にはかなり難しい。

I rekindled an interest in English study in the beginning of this year, and I have stoked the engine just a little bit since.
Stoke and Stalk
I just learned a new word, 'stoke'.
How could I not know it? How come I didn't know it?
「How could I not know it?」は文法的にいいですけど、不自然です。
Anyhow, I was just wondered wondering about how you spell 'stalk' when you say 'a stalker'.
I could pronounce them differently, and if I pay enough attention, I would probably have a little problem distinguishing the two, however, I think words like these are pretty difficult to tell apart for Japanese people.
「I got interested again in studying English at the beginning of this year, and I've being doing so little by little since then」とはどうですか?もっと自然だと思います。
