Money between people

Lately I've lent my money to close friend.
(Actually it's not a friend but kind of friend because she's late 40s and lives Seoul, we've been friends 2 month ago. So it difficult to say its relationship is friendship. But I have no words to say it so I say she's kind of my friend.)
I've never said about it but she've borrowed some money to people who we know each other.
One of them called me "What happen to you and her. Did she borrow money from you?"
At first I didn't say about it but he said to me it's a big difficult situation because she've borrowed money from his close friends include of me. So I should tell him what's going on.
I don't know what'll happen to me but I hope it won't be miserable.
I don't want to lose my friends and money.
What do you think of lending your money to friends?
