Culture shock is fun! A manga "Japanese language that Japanese don't know"

Its title is "日本人の知らない日本語"(Japanese language that Japanese don't know).
It is a manga picturing what happened in a Japanese language school in Tokyo.
Its students come from all over the world.
And this manga is full of episodes or troubles the students made.
Such as...
A French lady, who loves yakuza (Japanese mafia) movies and has learned Japanese from such movies, greeted her teacher with slangs yakuza use and surprised her much. (Her French is very elegant.)
A Chinese boy fell in love with a British girl. He wrote a long and poetic letter to her, but her lack of knowledge prevented her from understanding the letter. Actually she didn't even notice that it was a love letter.
When the teacher entered a hospital, some students visited her. They brought a bouquet of chrysanthemum to comfort her, but it was a bouquet made for the dead.
Honorific expressions are taught in Japanese language school, but Japanese are too careless to use such expressions. A smart Korean student asked a Japanese friend to help him with his homework of honorific expressions, and then he ended up getting a bad score.
Well, reading this manga, I laughed and laughed.
And then I wondered what Japanese learners would think if they read this manga: Do they enjoy this manga?
Anyway if this manga can make you laugh or smile, I assure that your Japanese knowledge must be great!
(This manga contains some Japanese tests in it. They are so hard that I have to confess that there are questions that I couldn't answer! Maybe I need to study my own language more.)

I'm surprised that you've read this manga.
Yeah, the "desu" part was interesting for me, too.
Who knows, "gozaru" might have become the common usage instead.
It sounds weird!
Actually I have a copy of this manga that my manager passed to me just a few weeks ago, but I haven't managed to read it yet. I was put off by the introduction that talked about the difference between hieru and sameru, which I wasn't properly aware of. I thought that the manga might be too challenging for me, but I will try to read it.
Also, it was very good for me. Up until now I'd been trying to work out whether to use おor 御 in front of a noun based only on feeling, and I had been getting it wrong sometimes.
Anyway it's Friday evening now and I'm off to get some おビール! :-)
