Last week ,I decided to write a 日记（I don't know how to use English )every day since then . So I try my best to think of the essays .
Today is the third day since I started writing 日记。My school today held a talent show -------辩论赛（I don't know how to use English ，please help me ) However I didn't join ,I got really sad.
What a pity !!!!

Last week ,I decided to write a diary （I don't know how to say it in use English )every day since then . (日记 = diary)
So I am trying my best to think of topics the essays . (sorry if this isn't what you meant to say, tell me if it's something else)
Today is the third day since I started writing diaries (plural form)日记。(you could also say "writing in my diary")
My school, today, held a talent show -------辩论赛（I don't know how to say it in use English ，please help me ) However I didn't join ,I got/was really sad. (辩论赛= debate)

As he said, 日记 = diary. But, you can also say "journal entry."
