Dear friends in Lang-8,

Hello, What's your favourite food? This time I'd like to introduce a very very hooooooot food to you.
Many people think that China is famous for not only it's long history but also it's delicious and various food. Since I'm from HuNan, I'd like to talk more about the HuNan speciality- "Hot Pot". The first response of people from other provinces will be "you must like hot food" when they hear " I'm from HuNan". Indeed, most of HuNanese are good with hot food. When it's getting cold, we prefer to have "Hot Pot" with friends or families. Even when it's hot, we'd like to take spicy food in air-conditioning room. We always enjoy it very much. Here are some photos taken by me, I hope you will enjoy them:D

Is it both hot as in warm and hot as in spicy? O_O' I can't take too much spice. :P

One of my parents favorite resturant is called, "The Hunan". I think one of the characters was, "園". I don't remember. :D

The food looks delicious anyways!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Mmmh, I love the "hot pot!" Although I'm sure it's just a watered-down American version where I live. :) Chinese food is fantastic! (I'm getting hungry now...)

hey 牛juice, thank you so much:) It is both hot as in warm days as spicy. "The Hunan" is so cool and I'm very happy to hear that:D The "園" means "park or garden" in Chinese. As for the fried veggies, I've never had that:P

I can't wait to get back to China for some delicious Hot Pot with friends. It's a fun social occasion, not just an ordinary meal. I had great Hot Pot in Chengdu.

I thought Chinese cooking or at least American-Chinese cooking usually involves fried cabbage or bokchoi. :D Guess I am wrong then.
