ひさしぶりですね。。。

わたしは、いそがしかった。しごとをはじまった (how do you say since a month ago?)

わたしのしごとはちょっとたいくつです。このきもちをいやだよ。どうしよう?

I still lack so many vocabularies. How do I say..."I only sit in front of the computer or watch over people and monitor what they are doing"? hehehe

You ask the last sentence to translate to Japanese. 「わたしは(I)ただ(only)コンピューターのまえに(in front of)すわっていたり(sit or)、ひとびとを(people)ながめて(watch over)かれらが(they)なにを(what)しているか(are doing)をかんししていたり(monitor)する。」You want to say these work is たいくつだ。I don't know to what extent you understand my Japanese, but I hope you will get something useful for your study. chaaa

お仕事大変ですね。(おしごとたいへんですね)

I know your feeling... When I was in the early 20's,
I had a feeling as same as yours.

楽しいと思えるお仕事に出会えるといいですね。
(たのしいおしごとに であえると いいですね)

Good luck for your job!

resh: thanks for the correction and complement. I have SOO much to work on. I also can't read kanji...hehehe but I do understand the corrections...^^ by the way...what did "め" in "ふたつめのエントリ" mean? I know "ふたつ" is two...^^

chaaa: I actually understood the corrections quite clearly. I'm actually better in understanding japanese than me writing them which is why I want to practice by writing instead of relying on TV...which is probably why alot of the japanese terms I use are very colloquial. hehehehe

Miko: yeah...I probably find it boring because I'm just an intern or maybe I went in the wrong type of work. I guess I can learn to like it in due time...thanks for the luck too...^^

>what did "め" in "ふたつめのエントリ" mean? I know "ふたつ" is two...^^
There are a little difference between "ふたつ" and "ふたつめ".
"ふたつめ" means not "two" but "second".
Jul 29th 2009 00:18 resh

supplementation:
- first is "ひとつめ" or "いちばんめ".
- second is "ふたつめ" or "にばんめ".
- third is "みっつめ" or "さんばんめ".
- fourth is "よっつめ" or "よんばんめ".
- fifth is "いつつめ" or "ごばんめ".
- sixth is "むっつめ" or "ろくばんめ".
- seventh is "ななつめ" or "ななばんめ".
- eighth is "やっつめ" or "はちばんめ".
- nineth is "ここのつめ" or "きゅうばんめ".
- tenth is "じゅうばんめ". (I say "とお" which means ten, but I have never hear and say "とおめ".)

resh: thanks so much! now I understand that adding "め" after a certain number would make the counting number to ordinal such as first, second, third, etc instead of just1,2,3,etc. いま わかりました。ほうんとにありがとうございます。^^

chikabo: thank you for the correction...hmm...what did "なの" in "たいくつなの" mean? ^^ did the sentence literally mean "I hate this feeling of boredom"? hehehe
