My Second Step in Learning Korean

PUBLIC_FLAG_#{@journal.pf_int} RSS feed of Cami's latest journal entries Jul 31st 2009 09:03
I began to study Korean a few months ago but I haven’t been consistent in my learning progress because of busy schedules. I did learn a few expressions, vocabularies, sentence patters, and definitely how to read and write hangul but the things I learned are not enough to be able to compose a journal or to create a decent conversation with a Korean. What I would like to do is to continue with what I’m currently writing and ask my lang-8 friends or anyone who knows Korean to translate this journal entry to Korean. I’ll read through the translations and begin to ask questions to improve on my skills not only in writing but also in reading. I can definitely read hangul but in most cases, I am unable to understand what I read.

I’ve been interested to the Korean language since my friend had introduced me Korean music. I wanted to learn the language more so I can learn the lyrics of the songs I like faster.

For those who will read this journal entry, I hope you help me translate this entire entry. Please don’t be afraid to ask me if there are words or sentences in this entry that you don’t understand. For those who are not Koreans who will also be reading this entry, you can also correct this entry in English to improve on my grammar.

I will also be glad to help you in English or tagalog if you decide to help me learn Korean. Thank you everyone! Keep smiling

  • I began to study Korean a few months ago but I haven’t been consistent in my learning progress because of busy schedules.
  • 저는 몇 달 전에 한국어 공부를 시작했지만 바쁜 스케쥴 때문에 제 학습 과정을 꾸준히 진행할 수 없어요.

  • I did learn a few expressions, vocabularies, sentence patters, and definitely how to read and write hangul but the things I learned are not enough to be able to compose a journal or to create a decent conversation with a Korean.
  • 저는 몇 가지 표현, 어휘, 문장 패턴과 확실히 한글을 어떻게 읽고 쓰는지 배웠지만 제가 배운 것들로 일기를 쓰거나 한국어로 유창한 대화를 하기에는 부족해요.
Comment

  • What I would like to do is to continue with what I’m currently writing and ask my lang-8 friends or anyone who knows Korean to translate this journal entry to Korean.
  • 제가 바라는 것은 제가 현재 쓰는 것을 계속써서 제 lang-8 친구나 한국어를 아는 누군가에게 이 일기를 한국어로 번역해달라고 부탁하는 것이에요.

  • I’ll read through the translations and begin to ask questions to improve on my skills not only in writing but also in reading.

I know what you mean. I'm still not used to the korean language so it will take me time to read and understand 한굴. Thank you so much for translating my message! I really appreciate it. I'll message you for my question when I get the time to read the entry.
