Round and round about

There is a song called "Round midnight" and another song called "Round about midnight". Could anyone tell me about the difference, or do they mean the same thing?

They essentially mean the same thing. "Round" is short for "around." You could say "around midnight" or "about midnight" and there would be no difference in meaning. "Round about midnight" is just a redundant way of saying the same thing.

Keep in mind that the word "round," when used in a different context, would mean "the shape of a circle." Try to think about this sentence: "The moon was round at about midnight."

Thank you very much! I think "round about #&$*#" is a bit artistic, right?
