3 million

NHK and Mitsubishi general research institute announced that the average income of Japanese business person is two million yen($1,800) cheaper than that of 20 years ago. The average income of the age group in 1997 was 5 million yen to 6.99 million yen($4,500 to $6.291). But in 2007 it was 3 million yen to 3.99 million yen. The rich people gradually decreased, and those who earn less than 4 million increased sharply, according to Mitsubishi research institute. This is mainly because of the bad economy which started in 2008. One of the professors of Akita university, Mr. Shimazu said that it is because of the bad economy in Japan and the vertical system in companies, or the chain of powers that remain in Japan. In the past, the older people get, the higher their salaries became. Now, older people get the higher proportions of salaries, but there isn't enough money left in the company for the young workers. That is why the balance of salaries among each age group was lost and now, the younger they are, the poorer they become. Another reason is the increase of temporary workers in Japan.
