最近インターネトで新しい本を買いました
Recently, I purchased some new books on the internet.
本のレベルを分からないので五本を買いました
Because I didn't know how hard the books were, I bought 5 of them.

I'm reading some easy storybook in English. It's difficult. When I see some illustraions, I can understand them. But it's exciting.

Are there light-novels in English in US? I wonder that is same as that there is Haiku in English.

I think there are light novels here, but we don't call them that. They are still just callednovels.
To be honest, I don't really know the difference between ライトノベル and 小説, and other books. :)
Hiya, thank you so much for correcting my journal entries twice. I also think that reading in Japanese is really good way to improve your reading comprehension. If you can figure out audio books, it is also good way to improve your listening comprehension!! Keep going!!!!
