You are small (f): أنتِ قصيرة
The man is poor: الرجل فقير
The woman is rich المرأة غنية
The small boy:الولد القصير
He is fat: إنه سمين
a man = رجل
the man = الرجل
----
the boy is small= الولد قصير
but
the small boy = الولد القصير
-----
he is fat= إنه سمين
she is fat= إنها سمينة
-------
This is a good way to learn a language :)
Good luck Ealinggold
Not sure about this part:
He is fat: هو سمينة
(He is fat: إنه سمين )
I always thought هوhuwa would stand for he? Is this a local variation?
What about she? she is fat= إنها سمينة why not hiyaهي?
Many thanks
but when you say"he is..."
it's more natural to say "إنه"
same thing for "she= هي"
she is : إنها
you still can say
هو سمين , هي سمينة
but as I said: إنه سمين , إنها سمينة is more natural
and I never make correction in dialect; just formal Arabic ;)
Nobody ever explained the difference to me before, much appreciated.
Keep up Ealinggold!
