Good Points
Scratch everything below. I graduated and have now gotten myself into even bigger trouble: a PhD program that requires me to prove intermediate fluency in one foreign language the first year and then gain advanced fluency during the next few in order to graduate. I've chosen Russian, again, despite having forgotten everything I learned since graduating in May of 2010.
How did I let this happen? My program doesn't give me any time to take Russian courses.
Help.
___________
Hello everyone!
I am a senior in college and in order to graduate next spring I need to successfully complete four terms of language. I chose Russian and am in intensive summer courses right now.
Native speakers: I would really appreciate your help. I think composing my own thoughts (with my grammar limitations) will help solidify the language. But be warned--I have very little vocabulary! So, I will probably be talking about how big my windows are or how loud my neighbors are.
Hopefully in a year or two I will be able to translate this "about me" into Russian.
Until then, corrections would be nice. Links to Russian online (talk) radio stations, blogs, your favorite Russian websites would be appreciated as well.
