My boyfriend asked me to go to his boss's cottage 2 or 3 weeks ago.

So last weekend, we went to the cottage. It is located north of Toronto.

His boss, Nancy, and her husband, Steve, are really nice to me.

Although my English is not good, I had a great time with them.

I had a great time with them. (See above .)

On the first day of our vacation, my boyfriend and I talked on a dock while watching the sun set. (The phrase "while watching the sun set on a dock" is a little confusing because it sounds like the sun is on the dock!)

He said, "I would like to say something.

But, I am afraid you don't have the same feeling." ("I am afraid you don't feel the same way" is OK too.)

I really didn't have any idea what he was going to say at first.

But, I realized what he was trying to say from his serious face and eyes....then *I* was afraid to hear the words.

Because, I was not ready for that yet.

I said, "Okay, you don't have to say anything now." (Or, "It's okay, you don't have to say anything now.")

But, he said, "I love you."

I didn't know what to say... Of course I like him a lot but I don't know if I "love" him.

What I said back to him was, "Thank you," and I explained my feelings to him.
