Why I choose to work as an au pair?

On the 15th of July of the last year I came to London with the idea of work like waitress, cleaner or something like that, so I rent a room in a shared house in the east suburb of London and started to look for a job.

One week later, I still not having sheets in my bed cause my landlady hadn't bring them yet. The only way to cook in that house was with one saucepan and one frying pan... for 4 persons. And, on top of that, the shower head work only if you put it at no more than 10 centimetres from the bottom of the bath.

I know that you can't expect to live, when you're sharing a house, in the same conditions that you live in your parents' house. But at least I liked to have a shower standing up! thank you very much!

So, I checked all the possibilities: au pair, hotel waiting staff, try another shared house,... I thought pros and cons of every job and finally decided to make an au pair profile in a specialty website and look for a family.

And that's the reason for why I ended working as an au pair.

(The next chapter will be looking for a family)

Thanks for checking my mistakes ;)

That house sounds terrible! Still, better to have an adventure abroad (even if it means having to look after spoiled children for a whole year haha) x

Thank you very much :D

I have a question. Do you call suburb at the zone 3 in London?.
I'm not really sure about when use the word suburb and when use surrounds.

Bye
