My volunteer working trip in Philippine
Everything seemed so interesting to us when we walked out from the Manila airport. Jeepney is the first surprise to us which is a kind of public transportation tool in Manila. Rina’s house is our second big surprise. ”Wow!What a beautiful house!” This was the first idea coming to our mind. Manila is a crowded city.It seems that there’s no rush our to Philipino, cuz the traffic jam happens all the time.Nevertheless, this is still a lovely city. Especially as to the shopping aspect.
The Greenhill made every girls out of their mind. There are hundreds of different stands in this indoor market. We really enjoyed bargaining and bought a lot of cheap stuff for sure. Beside shopping, we went to visit the memorial hall of national hero Rizal、the cathedral、the central park of Manila…etc. Our tour guide is very nice and capable. It was because of him, so that we can have a wonderful city tour.
During these fifteen days, we have tasted many kinds of Phillipino dishes. Halo-halo is a kind of desert which mix with jelly, fruits and ice. We love it very much. Banana dishes are another specialty of Philippine. There are different kinds of cooking way. No matter steamed, roasted or fried, all of them are our favorite.
Although our journey ended with seriously sickness, many of us got fever or problems with stomach. However, we will always cherish the memory between many friendly people and us.
