It's my favorite aime/cartoon. :) Most people in America call Japanese animation anime (but we pronounce it differently. we say the "a" like it sounds in "can" and the "i" like it sounds in "pig". we pronounce "me" like "May", though.) but cartoon is another widely used word for "animation". Most people wouldn't use the word "animation" though.

I saw a girl in Miku's costume at a ゲーセン in Akiba, she was holding the negi and everything!!

No, I think most of Japanese don't believe "Friday The 13th "
However We think the number of "13" or "4" is bad number.
So some hotel/hospital or apartment escape from using such number.
