"Hikaru no go"
Do you know the Japanese traditional table-game "Go"?
You can call it "Go" or "Igo".
So, this anime is very Japanese!
It's true that most young people are not really interested in such a game though, the anime is very popular in Japan.
Why?Because, it's definitely unique!
I have never seen an anime about "Go" like "Hikaru no go" before.
Even if you don't know the Go rules at all, you can enjoy it!
I do not learn about it at all, too.
By the way, what would you do if you woke up one day and suddenly became an igo genius like Hikaru?
In my case, maybe I would never do the same as he did.
It would make my life sad.
It would sound as if it took away my liberty.
I would lose myself.
In that respect, it may be all right that Sai found kids, such as Hikaru.

Do you know what the Japanese traditional table-game "Go" is?
It's true that most young people are not really interested in such a game, however the anime based upon the game is very popular in Japan.
So, this anime is very traditional!!
How so, you ask? Because, it's a very unique type of anime and thus is very interesting in Japan!
I have never seen an anime about "Go" like "Hikaru no Go" before.
I know this to be true as I don't have any knowledge of Go's rules either.
In my case, I might not ever be the same. Which is similar to what happened to Hikaru.
I would lose my personality.
In that respect, it may be all right that Sai found kids, such as Hikaru, to follow the plot line as I would not be a good candidate.
However, your entry was very good, the only problem was that you weren't being specific enough. Since I am learning Japanese I can figure out context more easily since well it's more contextual than English is, but if you spoke to an English person who didn't have such experience they might be wondering what you were talking about.
So in summary: Be more specific!
頑張ってね!

Why?Because, it's definitely unique! (In my personal opinion, this is perfectly fine. It won't score you tons of points on a test, but this is definitely how we natives talk.)
In my case, I doubt I would ever ("never"s negative) do as well as he did. (The other one's also ok grammatically, but the meaning is quite different.)
It would ruin my life sad. (I'm assuming this Hikaru guy got addicted to the game or something?)
It would be as if it took away my liberty. (Where did you get "sound" from?)
I would lose myself. (This is fine. The other's also ok, but this is fine.)
In that respect, it may be best that Sai found kids, such as Hikaru. (I don't see why he added what he did in blue... Anyway, "alright" not "all right," and try not to sound so indecisive, here. I let it go this time, but the way i fixed it makes you sound the least depressed [actually, not at all depressed], however "alright" has a sort of extra meaning with it which is hard to explain. Sort of like "healing" or "life will go on" kind of meaning. Know what i mean or should i try to explain it another way [perhaps with examples]?)

I don't know anything about it, either.
In my case, maybe I wouldn't do what he did.
It would be as if it took away my liberty.

One of the exchange students here tried teaching me Go a few days ago. I understand the basics, but don't understand the strategies at all.
