Satoshi : Car magazine company "Torque" printer upgrade presentation (0)

<The Current Specification>
Older style laser, black only, printing six pages per minute

<10 Staffs>
Office based/1administration, 4 editorial
Home based or mobile/5 writers and reporters

<Specific Requirements>
Administration; Letter printijg, photo copying and scanning, colour printing
Writers/Reporters; Colour printing when in office

• Printer Summary

-Three types of printers with different usages
"As far as printer goes, we'll use three printers for our company. Each of them has a different role in the office"

- Fuji Xerox Phaser 7760; Color office printer for main use
http://www.office.xerox.com/latest/776BR-011.PDF
"The first printer is usually used for main printing in the company. Xerox Phaser 7760 is designed for hight volume printing and offers impressive print speed and efficient processing."

- Ricoh GX 7000; Dye-sublimation printer for picture copying and printing
http://www.ricoh-usa.com/products/brochures/gx7000.pdf
"The second printer is dye-sublimation printer which will be used for picture copying and printing. We think it is ideal for a magagine company like us, since this type of printer can create more photo-lab quality than with other type of printers."

- Samsung CLX-3175FN; Multifunction printer for administration
http://www.etos.biz/Samsung_clx3175fn_Brochure.pdf
"The last printer is used for the adminisration and this has multifunctions. CLX-3175FN is a small all-in-one color printer suitable for managing jobs in the office."

• Multifunction Printer

- By administrator, which has features of scaning, copying and faxing
"Now, we'll see each of three more in detail. The multifunction Printer has three fanction other than printing, such as scaning, copying and faxing."

- Used by single person, thus no need to have seperate machine by each function
"It's a better idea that we'll have only this single macine because it seems no one share this printer in our company other than administrator. Therefore, we don't have to consider queing time by two or more person using it."

- Compared to having two seperated machine, cost saving, space saving, less power consumption
"If we have two separate machines as a printer and a scanner, it will cost us approximately $500 compared to $400 when we have this printer only. Also, this leads power consumption and space saving."

• Dye-sublimation printer

- Necessary for a page which require high quality photo, such as a cover etc..

"Dye-sublimation is often used by magagine companies, because of the high quality of photo printing. We think it'll be useful when we design a cover of our magazine or something like that."

- Overcoating make the print resistant to air, UV light, water and finger print etc...
"Dye-sublimation printing also has another feature called overcoating which can make the page resistant to various environment, which is also good for a cover itself."

- Highest Resolution 3600 × 1200 dpi of the three printers
"This printer has the highest resolution of three printers. So when you want a high quality printing, it is the best option you will choose."

• Laser Printer

- Larger sheets capacity (up to 3150) to carry main printing at office and duty cycle up to 150000 pages per month
"To manage the main usage of printing, it has a huge capacity of paper storage. It can carry up to 3150 sheets of paper and can print up to 150,000 pages per month."

- 45 ppm in B&W
"While our current printer is capable of only six pages per a minute in black and white, it can
print 45 page in a minute in black and white printing and 35 page in a minute in color printing, so it will be significant time-saving."

- Automatic two sided printing
"It also has an autimatic two sided printing feature, which should be useful to actually print contents of a magagine."

• Networking

- Every printer can be shared by using cables or network
"It means that you can use any of three printer anytime you want. Also, you can set the priority to be determined which person should print first when two or more person use the printer at the same time."

- Make tasks smooth and speedy
"For example, with network sharing, you don't have to collect a paper printed to the remote printer instead of the printer next to your desk. It must make tasks in the office smoother and speedier. "

• Ink

-Need to be periodically replaced with each unique toner or cartridges
"All toner and cartridges are periodically replaced everytime we run out of it. So, I recommend you to always have some extras to replenish them."

• Paper

- All printer support sizes up to A3 (297 × 420 mm) or A4 (210 × 297 mm)

"CX7000 and Phaser7760 support the size of paper, A3, which is about 297 × 420 mm and all printers can print up to the size, A4, which is 210 × 297 mm. Depending on the task, you can adjust the paper size which you are gonna use."

- When dye-sublimation printing, require a special kind of paper

"The dye-sublimation printer need to be used plain paper containing sublimation dyes which can be permanently transferred by heat.
So, we must be careful not to put regular paper in this tray."

"Jojo Bizarre Adventure"

The cartoon's theme is an evil spirit, called "Stand".
The characters are haunted by the evil spirits and fighting with each Stand.
A person who do ont have Stand can not see any Stand.
It seem to be a little different with a ghost.
In my opinion, someone who see ghosts or something is just so afraid
that his or her vision deceive himself or herself.
I have not seen a ghost before, though, I have watched a human figure in the dark fora moment when I was riding a bicycle late at night in the rain.
I thought it was just an ocular deception, because I was very sleepy that night.
Do you belive a spectral existence?
If you can do so, you might enjoy the anime more.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vhz3WJrhSHM

”Inuyasha”

"Inu" means a dog in Japanese.
"Yasha" means...I'm not sure...probably, a demon or something!?
A yasha is an old demon in Japan.
Its Japanese sounds make me a little terrible.
The title reminds me a book about which my American friend always talk to me.
It is named "Dogs and Demons"
He said the title derives from a painter's words, it is much easier to draw a demon than a dog, because a demon has no shape.
And I heard form him that the book is written about Japan, especially its criticisms.
For example, the book accuse Japanese of cutting trees in the park, very shortly. It is true that there is no single leaf on the trees.
I don't know why they do so. It's very ugly.
They might be lazy in raking up fallen leaves.
Anyway, "Inuyasha" is a pretty interesting anime.
Enjoy it!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0XF5AZllxw&feature=related
"Hikaru no go"

Do you know the Japanese traditional table-game "Go"?
You can call it "Go" or "Igo".
So, this anime is very Japanese!
It's true that most young people are not really interested in such a game though, the anime is very popular in Japan.
Why?Because, it's definitely unique!
I have never seen an anime about "Go" like "Hikaru no go" before.
Even if you don't know the Go rules at all, you can enjoy it!
I do not learn about it at all, too.
By the way, what would you do if you woke up one day and suddenly became an igo genius like Hikaru?
In my case, maybe I would never do the same as he did.
It would make my life sad.
It would sound as if it took away my liberty.
I would lose myself.
In that respect, it may be all right that Sai found kids, such as Hikaru.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ojluBPBimfs&feature=PlayList&p=8AB44C7B15D6A738&index=0

News editors decide what to broadcast on television and what to print in newspapers. What factors do you think influence these decisions? Do we become used to bad news? Would it be better if more good news was reported?Discuss.

We can not change news unless we are news editors or become famous persons. We are always passive toward news. The news editors have a privilege to choose information which tell us something. They can make up news and get us to believe wrong truth. In the fact, it is difficult to know about whether news is true or not.

The most influencing thing for them to decide what news is suitable is the amount of sales of their newspaper. In this capitalist society, making newspaper is business, as well as other trade activity. They need to care about circulation figure all of the time.Otherwise, their news paper company could be bankrupted. Therefore, it is definitely necessary for them to know about what people really want to know.

Generally, news tells us relatively more bad news than good news.
The main reason is that people do not voluntarily hear good news which especially happens in someone's life. For example, news telling that someone was killed is more attracted for people than what a celebrity's baby was born.It might be related to human instinct.

If there were more good news, we could be happier than now. However, the things never happen, because even if it is good news for someone, it could be bad news for someone else. To become rich mean to make others poor.We are not same, sadly.

In conclusion, news editor is not responsible about the way to choose news, unless it is not truth. They are just working for their company as we do.Inｓtead, the right responsibilities are on us.We should always confirm ourselves whether we can believe news given us or not.

Today, the high sales of bpopular consumer goods reflect the power of advertising and not the real needsb of the society in which they are sold.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, advertisement is on anything. For example, that is on a can-juice you drunk this morning, in the train which you commute, on the building in that you work and even on the Internet Website. The day that we do not see them could not happen. We live around them and we are alway infuenced by them. How much they affct us can be known in a sales of a product. When a company seccess to advertise, it could offer a plenty of money to its interest.

The human society need a various type of things. The thing one really want could not worth for another. We can not know what they are, yet we are only able to guess about it.If people really buy things they do not need, they must regret after the payment. They must think "why
did they buy such a thing?"It means the advertisement cheated people.Man who was decieved never be dumbed. Then, they would complain the company, no one would buy the products, and finally it could be bankrupted.

However, it is also true that some advertisement make them purchase what they do not need at all.In this case, the customers would never continue to buy the things of the company, if they are not fools.Otherwise, they could spend a waste of money.

Normally, people do not buy unnecessary things. When advertisement are definitely elaborated, it could get us buy the things easily. So, we have to take care about why we buy it, when we do shopping.

People attend college or university for many defferent reasons.
Why do you think people attend college or university?

Most students in my country go to college after graduating from high school.Since a child, people continuously study to success a university entrance exam and entry better one.Although it depends on the country,as far as Japan goes, there are some reaasons why we attend college.

First, it is that having university degree could possibly be easier to find a job.In general, companies are tend to hire university graduates.Since oldtimes, person with a university diploma has been thinking efficient. However, nowadays, that seems to be changing a little. They become to put weight on employee's qualifications and abilities.

There can be someone who attend university to study something for just its intellectual curiosities.Knowledges that we got there could enrich our lives. It must be a good place to learn something yet, sometimes we have no choice but to study what we are unwilling due to its diploma.

Japanese people tend to follow what everyone does.Acting something different from others is uneasy. The way of thinking such as "Everyone goes university,so I too go," is very natural for us.More than half of university students in Japan would have the same reason.

Actually,I droped out of college for some reasons.University is not just a learning environment for me.There,we have to experience a lot of things and get over them.If what I can write on my resume is only important thing of attending college,it is too counterproductive place. Our time is limited.
I reconsider about it to enjoy my life.
