What does global warming mean?
Does it mean something “evil”, likely one of the biggest challenges of modern human history, one of the toughest problems humankind ever faced since it’s on a global scale, its sheer enormity and complexity.
But does global warming mean that the Earth is getting warmer and warmer and yet, what else? Is humankind crying out for the shortage of energy now? Is humankind desperately looking for alternative energy sources? And the Earth’s getting hotter and hotter means that the more and more solar energy is accumulating inside the Earth’s atmosphere. Since we still have not had the technique to get the solar energy directly yet, we could get its varieties and they’re out there, inside our atmosphere: crazy winds, storms, tides, waves, temperature variation ...
I see, the most difficult is that they’re not concentrated enough, the energy is distributed throughout a certain area so it’s not as easy as collect a piece of coal or nuclear material and burn it up. Why do they have to resolve the question about distributed energy by the size of the “power plants” e.g. huge wind turbines… I wonder why it’s so hard to get those kinds of energy. A typical question I often find out there is money. Yes, indeed, the only guy appear to be enough of money and capability is the US. Its government can mobilize all national resources to put some men on the moon ( a glorious, honorable achievement but little scientific meanings), . And more its government can spend hundreds of billions of dollars to wage a war on some unlucky guys in the desert of the Middle East ( another glorious victory that hardly any other nation thinks they dare to do – overthrow a government with it military power ranks 4th in just a few weeks ), but it feels reluctant to spend more money on serious scientific and technical project that possibility change the world.
But anyhow, all kinds of energy on our Earth ( except thermal ones from Earth’s inside) come from the Sun. So, it’ll be very efficient for us to collect energy directly from the Sun. That’ll be our next power supply, the future of humankind depends on a source of energy older than humankind itself, even older than it mother Earth.

And That the Earth’s is getting hotter and hotter means that the more and more solar energy is accumulating inside the Earth’s atmosphere.

g.
huge wind turbines… I wonder why it’s so hard to get those such kinds of energy.
A typical question answer I often find out there is is that there is no money.
Yes, indeed, It seems the only nation with the only guy appear to be enough of money and capability is the US.
And more its government can spend hundreds of billions of dollars to wage a war on some unlucky guys in the deserts of the Middle East ( another glorious victory that hardly any other nation thinks they dare to do – overthrow a government with it military power ranks 4th in just a few weeks ), but yet it feels reluctant to spend more money on serious scientific and technical projects that have the possibility to change the world.
What is the situation like in Vietnam? What are Vietnamese trying to do to reduce their impact on the environment? Vietnam has such beautiful land, I hope it won't be polluted by man-made technology.
Regarding Vietnam's situation, your concern was absolutely right. Few decades ago while Vietnam was such a poor country, economic development was the top priority. Now we're suffering immense environmental as well as social problems, but thank to that the Vietnamese gradually realizes how much important a stable development is.
After all, general public's view is quite good. Particularly, the young generation (Vietnam is a young country which median age is about 27) is very optimistic since we see the those challenges as huge opportunities (green, friendly industry, news technologies, and new infrastructures ...).
