I want to learn English as a tool for reading Urban Planning and Design related books. By the king Solomon saying, what has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. It means that History repeats itself. When I read Urban Articles, I learned that UP and UD in Korea mostly already have practiced in other countries such as the U.S., UK and Japan. If I know many languages it would be quite good to gather information on what I am interested in. but I didn’t have gotten many talents from God. Therefore, I decided to be very good at Korean and English at least. A lot of information over the world is written as English. That’s why I need having a strong command of English.

I have a reason that isn’t career-related, too. Nobody can deny that it’s given that English is international language. From my personal experience, I could broad my view point toward the world I live. I was a kind of very simple and honest person who follows Confucius’ teaching. It was because I had read Confucian ideas books for six years when I was in elementary and middle school. But through traveling , I shockingly could aware of the variety of people’s life. Different cultures, languages, environments and the ways of thinking. I want to be free. I want to go abroad at least one time two years to see myself inside of Korea culture and refresh fixed idea. Speaking English skill need to go abroad. That’s enough incentive to study English very hard, isn't it?
