How to study English

I went English school today.I pass a level up test the other day.
So I started a new class but I feel difficult than before class.
I want to do my lesson but I don't have enough times...
So I told over with a school staff today.
She taught me how to study English for me.
"You decided that you will go to Canada next spring.So you should study how to introduce, for example your job, your family, your hobbies and so on.Maybe you will be asked these contents when you will take a entrance examination."
It's true, I think so ,too.
Then I think that I try to write here about my family next time.＾０＾

今日は英会話学校に行ってきました。先日、私はレベルアップテストに受かりました。
だから新しい授業が始まったのですが、前の授業よりも難しく感じます。
私は予習がしたいと思うのですが、十分な時間がありません。
そこで、学校のスタッフに今日相談をしました。
彼女は私に私のための英語の学習方法を教えてくれました。
「あなたは来春カナダに行くことが決まっています。だからあなたは自己紹介の仕方を勉強すべきです、例えば、仕事や家族や趣味などなど。おそらく、あなたは入学試験の時にこれらの内容を聞かれるでしょう。」
たしかに、私もそう思います。
そして、私はここに次の時家族のことについて書いてみようと思います。＾０＾

How to Study English
I went to English school today.
I passed a final the other day. [[A "final" is the final test for a class, so when you pass it you can go to the next level.]]
So I started a new class but I feel difficult than in the prior class.
I want to do my lessons but I don't have enough time...
So I talked it over with a counselor today. (("school staff member" is more general; usually if you need to talk about something like this, you see a counselor.))
She taught me how to study English.
So you should study introductions, for example talking about your job, your family, your hobbies and so on.
Maybe you will be asked about these things when you will take the entrance examination."

So I told over with a school staff member today. [except they don't usually have counselors at Japanese schools, so I'm not sure that's right. But a specific word might still be better.]

I also use "counselor" in Japanese.
But person who taking over with me was not a counselor.
