Work or Further Study ?
As is shown in the table above, from 2000 to 2010,except 2004, there’s a rise in the number of graduates determined to receive further education. While, in contrast, less and less students plan to work after their graduation ever since 2002 shown in the chart. About the phenomenon, different people hold different views. As for me, I think there are at least 3 reasons for it.
As is known to all, the competitions for job hunting are becoming more and more fierce with the development of society. In order to get a suitable occupation, the high diploma is essential. In addition, an increasing number of people, especially employers, are becoming much more concerned about the significance of knowledge than they were. Because with great knowledge, people can make a lot of unpredictable fortunes, which will be profitable to both individuals and the society. Last but not least, further study does not only offer students knowledge printed in books, but offer them more opportunities to develop their abilities in other fields. Therefore, if appears that students with further study are superior to those simple graduates.
As far as I’m concerned, I’m firmly for the choice of further study. Because books can enrich myself and I’ll become more mature with further study.
PS: I know you may feel confused when reading this article. This is a composition assigned by my English teacher. She showed us the chart on the blackboard and I didn't get it. And the reason why I upload it is just to make sure if there are any grammar errors and to want to know the places that'll be improved. Thanks for your reading and corrections!
