Sairmine : Work or Further Study ? (0)

As is shown in the table above, from 2000 to 2010,except 2004, there’s a rise in the number of graduates determined to receive further education. While, in contrast, less and less students plan to work after their graduation ever since 2002 shown in the chart. About the phenomenon, different people hold different views. As for me, I think there are at least 3 reasons for it.
As is known to all, the competitions for job hunting are becoming more and more fierce with the development of society. In order to get a suitable occupation, the high diploma is essential. In addition, an increasing number of people, especially employers, are becoming much more concerned about the significance of knowledge than they were. Because with great knowledge, people can make a lot of unpredictable fortunes, which will be profitable to both individuals and the society. Last but not least, further study does not only offer students knowledge printed in books, but offer them more opportunities to develop their abilities in other fields. Therefore, if appears that students with further study are superior to those simple graduates.
As far as I’m concerned, I’m firmly for the choice of further study. Because books can enrich myself and I’ll become more mature with further study.

PS: I know you may feel confused when reading this article. This is a composition assigned by my English teacher. She showed us the chart on the blackboard and I didn't get it. And the reason why I upload it is just to make sure if there are any grammar errors and to want to know the places that'll be improved. Thanks for your reading and corrections!

Sairmine : Lifelong Education (0)

In the era of technology and science, more and more adults return back to start college again. But it is well known that the opinion varies from person to person.
Some people strongly recommend such behavior. They point out the fact that people have found staying with the same company for a lifetime seem as outdated as the typewriter when faced with rapidly changing techonology. Moreover, incomes continue to climb with the number of degree held. So it goes without saying that going to college is a wise move.
Other people, on the contrary, hold the quite opposite opinon. For them, going back to school is only a waste of time without any gains, let alone the lifelong education! To make matter worse, lifelong education is really silly in eyes of many people and it tends to cause irony from our friends.
As far as I’m concerned, I firmly support the former idea. I think it’s essential to keep going forward for our own competitiveness. We have to stay conversant with the technology. Though learning while working seems to be a bittersweet occasion, we can learn to let all the negativity go in one ear and out the other. A college not only offers a medium by which we can get a degree, but opens up a brand new world we’ve never seen. Just as a saying goes: “It’s never too old to learn.”

Sairmine : On College Learning (0)

Recently the issue of college learning has been brought to public attention. Some students become idle soon after they’re enrolled by universities. Indulging in computer games, playing traunts and falling asleep in classes have become common seen phenomenon, which arouse anxieties from the society.
The answers for the problem involves many factors. To begin with, a majority of students always hold the idea that the college is the paradise where they can enjoy themselves as much as they want and therefore they lack long run definite goals in their lives. While to some others, difficulties of changing majors also lead to students’ discontent about current situation to some extend. The reason why they live such decadent lives is just to escape from the reality. Last but not least, the students are anxious to acquire the knowledge they think they need to make a buck, but they aren’t really interested in education for education’s sake. As a result, they gradually form a habit of getting by exams by cramming at the last minute.
From what has been discussed above, it’s obvious that nothing is more important than changing college students’ lifestyle to a positive one and taking a correct attitude towards study. As college students, it is high time we set a high goal and make plans step by step towards it. And we are also aught to maintain optimistic whatever setback we may encounter. I’m sure both proposals are sound and well-grounded as well.

Sairmine : vacation (0)

I'm fond of travelling around sightseeing every wonderful places, but packaging really disturbs me. Therefore, I seldom go travelling since I entered the university because of my laziness. The last trip was in last summer. I went to the Yuntai Mountain with my family. Compared to the school, the destination was not far because it was only 4 hours' train while the school is over 24 hours'! As my relatives were living in Henan, lots of money was saved from accomodation fee.
As for the coming winter holiday, I've got a plan to take part in a project of assisting in teaching in remote rural places where teachers are badly needed. I may suffer from homesickness along with the vile environment, but it will be better worth doing than that of staying wasting a whole holiday eating and sleeping at home.

Sairmine : Clothes (0)

I’m now wearing my pink pajamas because there’s nobody in my dormitary and I don’t need to go out this evening. For clothes, I seldom care whether they are good-looking. As long as they are comfortable, I will wear them. Therefore, I usually go out in sports wear or in casual clothes. But my mom doesn’t like the style, saying : “hey, why can’t you dress youself like a girl ? ” As a result, she bought me a bunch of dresses this summer vacation and asked me to wear them once the school was started.
Can you imagine how my classmates react towards my new clothes ? They could hardly believe their eyes and spoke highly of them. Additionally, I seem to look better owing to those dresses. Perhaps the next time going shopping, I will pay more attention to clothing styles.

Sairmine : weather (0)

It's already half past ten in the evening now. Nevertheless it is still hot here because the campus is located in Guangdong Province, one of the hottest place in China. Frankly, I can barely sleep well during the night due to the high temperature.
The climate here is really changable, for it was typhoon only a few days ago and now is already a sunny day of over 35 degrees! Thank God, the weather forcast says that there will be rain these days and meanwhile the temperature will also reduce by 2-3 degrees.
While the rain is coming in the near future, the sun will still be shining like a burning fire in the tomorrow morning. All I need to do at present is just to wait patiently for the rain while praying. May God bless me !!!

Sairmine : Will that be paper or plastic ? (0)

Hello, this is a summary of a passage assigned by my teacher. I wrote it myself and inevitably made some errors in it. I'm much grateful for your corrections ! Thanks !!!

People prefer plastic bags to paper ones when going shopping because they are not only cheap but reusable, which is possibly less damage to the environment. But is it true ?
A plastic bag are mostly discarded once people gets home, then there are 3 possible situations happening on it. First, the plastic bag has been in other places before they are taken to landfills and somehow is floating on the sea, As a result, marine animals unluckily recognize it as food and eat it ! Second, the bag makes its way to landfills but is blown away before getting buried. Therefore, it has to continue its similar trip to the former one. If the bag is indeed lucky, it may have the third option: be wrapped in lager plastic bags and stay still in landfill. Still, the plastic is harzardous and can also make its may into the environment. To make matters worse, few places can hold trash after certain years and we may even live on top of piles of plastic bags due to the lack of the land.
For the sake of those animals as well as the environment, we'd better not use a bag at all or bring our own cloth bags. But if we must, just use the paper ones.
