Mobbing or workplace bullying

Mobbing is like bullying, but in the place you work.
I think it's more or less known in USA and UK, but in Spain, no one knows about it. I mean, bullying is well-known and it does often appear in the news. If you ask someone in the street, though, he or she will not know what you are talking about.

Why am I talking about it? Because I know a person who suffers it and is struggling against it. Few people want to help, though none of these are in her workplace. Well, this person has two friends, but they also suffer mobbing. Last week, a "letter to the editor" was publish in a newspaper, but not much was explained in it. Also, in Spain there isn't any law against this kind of treatment.
