What is it ?
I can't understand at all....
Perhaps does it express a face ?

Even if it does, I can't understand what it express and means.....
Yes, it's supposed to be a sideways face. The X is a pair of eyes (like ＞＜ but sideways) and the O and the D are both laughing mouths.
So basically, it's just like lol, but perhaps funnier.
For example:
"That show is so funny XD"
"I hate math so much XO"
