This month, my tennis club's summer junior club stared. Every Saturday, lots of kids come to play. Because my club only has a little money, they can only afford to pay one coach. Yet to run the club, they need other volunteers, I am one of those volunteers.
Working with young people is a lot of fun, especially the energetic ones. If they are noisy, then you always know what they are thinking, it makes things easier.
Usually, I coach the young girls, they are actually the noisiest of the lot! They might be only around 8 years old but they are always challenging me to races and stuff, it's quite funny really. When summer is over I will miss them all.

(momoko-san's correction is perfectly fine, but I'm just giving you an alternative.)
(Since the club's budget is limited,)ので、一人のコーチは一人しか雇えません(they can afford to hire onlyone coach.)。
(When you say "ほかの," it sounds like the clubalready has some volunteers, so I deleted it. )
(We know that 子ども is young, so you don't need to state that they are young. But if you wanna use an adjective here, use 幼い(おさない) or 小さい instead. 8 years old sounds rather幼い to me. I understand that by "Working with young people," you meant "teaching tennis to kids," so I changed the sentence. Also, I combined the following sentence with this one, because it doesn't really make sense if you separate them.)
(You didn't mention that you "like them"in English, did you? You like noisy kids because it's easy to understand what they're thinking, right?)
That's probably true! :P)
(You're talking about the girls who are at about age 8, right? (~と)駆けっこをする= run a race with~。駆けっこ is usually usedby (and for) kids, so it'skindof a kid's term, but I think it's suitable to use it in this sentense.I made up a none 駆けっこ勝負: a race with kids. I combined the following sentense with this one, because it flows better.)
Yoko, I guess that means I should thank you twice! Thanks for your detailed correction. Yeah I like noisy and energetic kids, you can have a laugh with them. I'm sure if you want to do volunteer work you would be able to. I guess though, time is an issue. I also run a tennis club at my local primary school, I have to work 6:30 am - 2:30 pm on Mondays to make sure I can get there on time. It's fun though.
My mom actually registered me as a volunteer English teacher at my local primary school, but I've never had a chance to work with the kids yet. :( By the way, 駆けっこ is pronounced "かけっこ." Sorry, I forgot to mention that in my correction.
I hope you can continue working as a tennis club volunteer even when summer is over.
