英語は変ですね。
English is weird, isn't it?
ラテンもドイツ語もフランス語もなとかかんとか語も混ぜて、それにこっちからスペイン語もちょっと入れて、そっちから日本語、あとはあっちからあれも入れて・・・ そしたら、ジャン！英語！
Mix up some Latin and German and French and whatever-language, and add to that a little Spanish, a little Japanese, a little bit of whatever from over there... And bam! English!
まあ、もうちょっと難しくて時間がかかったけど・・・
Well, it's a little harder and more time-consuming than that but...
とにかく、英語は色んな言語に影響されたから、やっぱりスペルは大変ですね。
Anyway, because English has been influenced by so many languages, its spelling is pretty messed up.
日本語のひらがなとかと違って、スペルで発音はわからないことがよくあるんですね。
Unlike Japanese hiragana, there are often times when you can't know the pronunciation based off the spelling.
英語を勉強する皆さんは、英語の変にスペルする言葉が、発音できますか？

最初難しかった（判った気がするだけかも：）

どうやってOzがounceの略語になったのかわからなくて、私が小さいときは本当に困惑しましたよ。Lbはpoundの略語とか・・・Pd＝poundのほうが自然じゃない？と思っていました。たぶんラテン語の影響でしょう・・・
このリメリックのパズル意外bozとかpronozとかは本当の言葉じゃないですけど、ounce＝Ozのようにどんな言葉でも”oz”は”ounce”を示せば、書くのが早くなりますね＾＾

I like rock music like Red Hot Chili Peppers, so I want to know more about limericks. If I can create and use them, it'll be a lot of fun!
The Red Hot Chili Peppers definitely use a lot of word play and rhyme (and nonsense words :P) in their lyrics. I wonder if they have any songs that have limericks in them.
If you wanted to try to make a limerick, here's a short guide!
line 1: 3 stresses, rhyme A
line 2: 3 stresses, rhyme A
line 3: 2 stresses, rhyme B
line 4: 2 stresses, rhyme B
line 5: 3 stresses, rhyme A
(The stress means the rhythm of the words. For example, the word "fellow" is stressed like this: FEL-low.)
Here's an example I found. The rhyme and stress in in parentheses. (The 'DUM' shows where the syllable is stressed.)
There was an old man from Peru, (rhyme A)
(da DUM da da DUM da daDUM)
who dreamed he was eating his shoe. (rhyme A)
(da DUM da da DUMda da DUM)
He awoke in the night (rhyme B)
(da daDUM da da DUM)
with a terrible fright, (rhyme B)
(da da DUM da da DUM)
and found out that it was quite true. (rhyme A)
