難しかったですね！はい、パズル詩はこういう感じでしたけど・・・
It's kind of hard, isn't it! OK, the puzzle limerick looks like this...
A bright little maid in St. Thomas
Discovered a suit of pajhomas.
Said the maiden: “Well, well!
What they are I can’t tell,
But I’m sure that these garments St. Mhomas.

...but I've written the same limerick without the weird spelling below. The properly spelled words are written in capitals.

Although the 'homas' in 'Thomas' is spelled differently from 'pajamas' and 'mama's', the pronunciation is the same. I guess the writer wondered what would happen if we spelled all the words that rhymed with Thomas in the same strange way that Thomas is spelled!
英語のスペルは変だからこそ、色々な字で同じ音が表せますね。たぶんこういうとき、字を見ないで聞くほうが意味がもっとわかるかもしれません！
It's precisely because English's spelling is so strange that we can use so many different letters to represent the same sounds. I guess in this kind of case, you'll understand better if you simply listen without looking at the words.

The joke comes from the misspelling of 'pajamas' and '-s ain't mama's'. Because they rhyme with 'St. Thomas' but aren't spelled the same way, when the spelling is changed to 'pajhomas' and 'St. Mhomas', it seems like strange gibberish. Luckily, if we know the format of limericks, we realize the true words that are hidden by the strange spelling.
