三菱ＵＦＪ信託、英運用会社に400億円出資

三菱ＵＦＪ信託銀行は2日、英資産運用会社、アバディーン・アセットマネジメントに400億円出資すると発表した。まず同日、市場を通じて9.9％の同社株を取得。来春をめどに19.9％まで出資比率を高めて三菱ＵＦＪ信託の持ち分法適用会社にする。

On 2 October Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corpration announced and spent £100million on Aberdeen Asset Management Plc shares accquring a 9.9pc stake in the company. The Japanese bank may take a stake upto 19.9% by next spring and make Aberdeen its equity-method affiliate.


Mitsubishi Group is deeply connected to the the Komeito Party's nortrious parent organization called Soka Gakkai International. To officially speak ill of SGI is a taboo. They diffuse evilness all over Japan in sheep's skin. Well I'm not going to talk about Japanese politics here today...;)

☆Equity method=持分法
Equity method in accounting is the process of treating equity investments, usually 20–50%, in associate companies. The investor keeps such equities as an asset. Proportional share of associate company's net income increases the investment, and proportional payment of dividends decreases it. In the investor’s income statement, the proportional share of the investee’s net income is reported as a single-line item.

The ownership of more than 50% of voting stock creates a subsidiary. Its financial statements consolidate into the parents' ones. The ownership of less than 20% creates investment position carryed at historic book value in the investor's balance sheet.

持分法（もちぶんほう）とは、連結財務諸表の用語、様式及び作成方法に関する規則（昭和51年大蔵省令第28号）、中間連結財務諸表の用語、様式及び作成方法に関する規則（平成11年大蔵省令第24号）、会社計算規則（平成18年法務省令第13号）に拠れば「投資会社が、被投資会社の純資産及び損益のうち当該投資会社に帰属する部分の変動に応じて、その投資の金額を各事業年度ごとに修正する方法」である。

原則として持株比率が20%以上50%未満の非連結子会社及び関連会社に適用される。但し、適用されないものもある。

☆Equity-method affiliate＝持分法適用会社
連結決算上、持分法が適用される会社のこと。
財務諸表の合算処理が行われる「子会社」と区分するために用いられることば。
関連会社と呼ばれることもある。
なお、子会社と持分法適用会社をひとくくりにする場合、「関係会社」という言葉が用いられる。
