It's interesting system because I can show how much I satisfied with their service by an amount of tip.
I heard, however, that it is important to pay tip beforehand to get a good seat in some musicals or concerts.
It seems to be a bribe.
Giving tip to get a good seat... people may think of it as an elegant way, but I can't find out what is different between them.
Of course, they must be different.
Maybe I merely hate it because it forces me to pay more money in a restaurant.
Yesterday I went to a Mexican restaurant named Santa Fe.
The dishes were very delicious but I paid $8.00 as tip which was 20 percent of check. orz

In Japan, beef become more and more expensive since an importation is limited due to BSE.
Students can't eat beef.
But I can eat beef here because they are cheaper in America!

If I eat something in a restaurant or at fast food, it will be more expensive in America than in Japan. Basically foods are more expensive and I must pay tip. (You only tip restaurants or buffets where you are waited on. Less at buffets)
It's interesting system, I can show how much I was satisfied with their service by the amount of tip.
I heard, however, that it is important to pay tip beforehand to get a good seat in some musicals or concerts. (Less, true. But some restaurants and shows have hosts that will seat you better depending on cash influence)
people may think of it as an elegant way, but I can't find out what is different between them. (Again, it is NOT very typical to tip for seats, it is a rare trend in high-population areas)
I ate a nachos and a Fajita, which surprisingly, which appeared to be the same.

But I can eat beef here because it is cheaper in America!
I always wondered how to cook it.
I am a waitress and we very much appreciate your tips. Most people don't know we DON'T make minimum wage here. we often make 1/2 or less and we depend on tips to earn a living wage. :(
Also, I personally think tips should be earned...a reflection of the charisma and effort of your server. What I, as a server, consider proper tips: 10% if service was acceptable but not great... 15% if it met your standards, you had filled drinks, and they were nice. 20% suggest a job VERY well done and anything above that is just a compliment.

It's an interesting system because I can show how much I satisfied I am with their services through by an amount of tip that I give.
