A play!

This is a movie script my friends and I wrote. :) Please help us correct it! Some of the Japanese we had to use is difficult. >_< Thank you! Sorry it is sso long.

Scene 1 - In a classroom at sunset

Brian likes Chantal. Brian gives the letter to Chantal. Chantal agrees and hugs him. They are so HAPPY!


Scene 3 - Love and Death
He walks her home.
チャンタル：　うちまで　歩いたあげる　ありがとう。とてもよく　一日だわね。
Chantal: Thanks for walking me home. I had a great time today.

ブライアン：私もとってもうれしい。あの、、これ、あなたのプレゼント。
Brian: I’m glad. Here, I have a present for you.

Brian gives her a necklace.

チャンタル：うつくしい!　ありがとう.
Chantal: It’s so beautiful. Thank you.


ブライアン：もう　この時間、私ははやくいえに帰ったほうがいい。じゃあ、おやすみなさい。
Brain: It’s getting late. I better get home. Good night.

He kisses her on the cheek and says good night.
She blushes and walks into her house smiling.

ブライアン：いい一日だ。
Brian: That was a great night.

He walks past a corner a car horn sounds, followed by a crash sound.


Scene 4 - The News
Chantal receives a phone call.

チャンタル：もしもし、、Chantalですが、、
Chantal: Hello?　This is Chantal…

She drops the phone.

おとうさん：　でんきをTurn　off　だよ。はやくねなさい。　
Dad: I’m turning off the lights. Go to sleep.

She is devastated.

Scene 5 - The Next Day
[At the school]

先生：みなさん、ざんねんですが、ゆうべ　ブライアンは　うちに　あるきながら、くるまに　はねました。　しんだ。　こんしゅうのどようびは　ブライアンのうちで　ついふく　をします。じゅぎょうはじまるまえ、みなさん　いちぶんぐらいかかる　いっしょに　ブライアンをのおぼえてください。
Teacher: Everyone, it saddens me to say that last night while walking home, Brian was struck by a car and died.There will be memorial service in his honor on Saturday at his house. I’d like to take a minute before we begin class to remember Brian.

Chantal rushes out of the class and runs outside to cry.
Her best friend Sam comes out to comfort her.

サム：Chantal、だいじょうぶ?
Sam: Chantal, are you okay?

チャンタル：いいえ、よくない。かれが好きだった。私にこのネックレスくねましだ。
Chantal: No. I’m not okay. I loved him.　He gave me this necklace.

サム：　ああ、ごおめんさい。はなすことは　ほしですか。
Sam: Oh、 I’m so sorry. Do you want to talk about it?

チャンタル：いいえ！

Chantal: No!
Chantal starts crying.

Scene 6 – Time Passing
Show scenes of a calendar ripping away pages to signify changing months.

Scene 7 – Teacher’s worry
先生：チャンタル。。。二月から　ブライアンさんはしにましたが、しゅくだい　を　しなければりません。さんかくはぼっします。もっとぼっすれば、いいだいがくにはいられません。
Teacher: Chantal… I know it’s been two months since Brian died, but you need to start doing your school work. Your marks have been dropping. If they keep going down, you won’t be able to enter any good universities.

チャンタル：しんぱい　しない。
Chantal: I don’t care.

先生：　それはしようです！ブライアンはあなたがおつことをかいたかっています。
Teacher: ｔhis is important. Brian wouldn’t want you to fail.

チャンタル：ブライアンはしんだ。
Chantal: He’s gone now.

先生：それはむずかしい、けどー
Teacher: I know this is hard for you, but—

チャンタル：あなたはなにもをしません！あなたはわたしのきもちはわかりません！だれはわたしのきもちをわかられません。ブライアンがしんだ。ぜったいうつしません。
Chantal: You don’t know anything! You can’t understand my feelings. No one can. Brian is gone. I’ll never move on.

先生：あなたのみらいをかんがえて　おください！あなたは　べんきょうすることがとくいです！ためったら、いちりゅうになります。すきなひとしにます。むずかしいですが、きがかつすしなければありません。
Teacher: Think about your future! You’re good at studying! You would be at the top of the class if you tried. Loved ones die. It is hard, but you need to move on.

チャンタル：　うるさい！ぜんぜんわかりません！わたしはブライアンをわすれされば、かれはうせいます。きがかつができない。できない。
Chantal: Shut up! You don’t understand. If I forget Brian, he will disappear. I can’t move on. I can’t.

Teacher looks sadly at Chantal and pats her back as she cries.

Scene 8 – Teamwork
Brian is sitting alone in a misty, foggy, or somehow ghost-like sort of place. He is approached by a girl wearing all black.

ブライアン:　だーだれですか。
Brian: Who, who are you?

クラヂア：私は　しんがみです。あなたはきんじしんだった。あなたはすきなひとがしんぱいする、ですね？
Claudia: I am a Death God. You died recently, and you are worried about someone you left behind, aren’t you?

ブライアン：はい！
Brian: Yes!

クラヂア：　ブライアン、あなたはチャンタルをせわすることがほしいれば、ほよくをいる。　わたしはまほうをつかうから、チャンタルのともだちサムはわたしたちをみせる。

Claudia: Brian, if you want to help Chantal, we’re going to need help. I’m going to use magic so that her friend, Samantha, can see us.

ブライアン：はい。
Brian: Okay.

Magicalness happens.

サム：ブーブライアンさん！？あなたか。できません。あなたはしんだ！
Sam: B-Brian!?! Is that you? It can’t be. You’re-you’re dead!

ブライアン：はい。ゆれになります。おそることがありませんをください。せわがほしい。チャンタルをせわしたい。
Brian: Yes, but I’ve become a ghost. Please don’t be scared. I need your help. I want to help Chantal.

サム：それはあたまがへん。ゆめですか。
Sam: This is crazy. Am I dreaming?

クラヂア：それはほんとうだ。せわすれば、チャンタルはげんきになります。できますか。
Claudia: No, this is real. If you help us, Chantal will be back to her happy self. Will you do it?

サム：　はい、わたしはせわしようともいます。
Sam: Yes, I intend to help you. What do I have to do?

クラヂア：きとがあります。
Claudia: I have a plan.

Screen to black.

Scene 9 – Into the Mind
サム：あなたはどうですか。
Sam: How are you?

Chantal shrugs.

チャンタル：ねられません。たべれらません。
Chantal: I haven’t been able to sleep. I haven’t been able to eat.

サム：わたしはあなたのことをしなぱいします。
Sam: I’m worried about you.

チャンタル：こふくはやすいじゃありません。
Chantal: Being happy isn’t easy!

サム：でも、ためさなければなりません。げんきになれる。できますよ。
Sam: But you need to try. You can be happy. You can do it.

チャンタル：できません。できません。できません。
Chantal: I can’t. I can’t. I can’t.

Chantal starts crying.
Sam turns to Brian.

サム：わたしはなにもできませんとおもいます。
Sam: I don’t think I can help.

ブライアン：チャンタルはめがかなしみです。
Brian: Her eyes are sad.

クラヂア：　チャンタルはよけいさみしです。まほうをつかあなければなりませんよ。チャンタルのこころにはいろう！
Claudia: She is too depressed. I will have to use magic. We will enter her mind!

Claudia places her hand on Chantal’s head and the screen flickers epically/something magicallyish happens.

Scene 10 – Inside the Mind

サム：ここはどこですか。くろだ。
Sam: Where are we? It’s dark.

クラヂア：それはチャンタルのこころです。チャンタルはかなしから、こころはくろです。
Claudia: We are in Chantal’s mind. Her sadness has made her mind black.

ブライアン：チャンタル！ききますか。
Brian: Chantal! Can you hear me!?

クラヂア：　きけませんが、いしきかにかせます。サムさん、ブライアンさん、こころをかよわせる。
Claudia: She cannot hear you here, but you can influence her. Sam, Brian; reach out to her with your minds.

ブライアン：チャンタル、おねがい、しあわせのときにおぼえる！わらうこと。はなすこと。うたうこと。じょだんすること。
Brian: Chantal, please, remember all the happy times! Laughing. Talking. Singing. Joking.

サム：おかあさんと　おどうさんをおもう！
Sam: Think about your mother, your father!

クラヂア：　チャンタルはおうじるでしょう。もっと！もっと！
Claudia: I think I can feel her responding! More! More!

ブライアン：あなたはかなししたら、わたしはかなしみです。おねがい、しあわせになる！
Brian: If you are sad, I will be sad. Please, be happy!

サム：あなたはできます！
Sam: You can do it!

クラヂア：　はい、チャンタルはきっとおうじるでしょう！もっと！
Claudia: Yes, I’m almost certain she’s responding! More!

ブライアン：すき！おねがい、しあわせになる！
Brian: I love you! Please, be happy!

A burst of light! The screen is pure white. Chantal’s disembodied voice can be heard.

チャンタル：　はい。。。しあわせになれる。きっとしあわせでしょう。
Chantal: … Yes. I can be happy. I will be happy.



Scene - The Final Goodbye
ブライアン：サマンサ、ありがとう。
Brian: Thank you Sam.

Brian walks over to Chantal.

チャンタル：
Chantal: Brian…? Is that you?

ブライアン： よ。私はゆれいです。あなたはくるししたら、らくねしない。ごめんな、わたしは　これでしんだ。いろいろなはなすことがはなしたかった。いつでも　ありがとう。あなたをまもるのちからが　ほしかった。
Brian: Hey there. I am here, in ghost form. I couldn’t rest while you were in pain. I’m sorry for dying on you like that. I wanted so much to speak to you one last time. I wanted to thank you for all those great times. All I wanted was the strength of protect you.

Chantal starts to cry.

チャンタル：もう　会わないの?
Chantal: I’m never going to see you again?
ブライアン：わたしは　ただ　あなたのこころに　いるだけ、わたしをおぼえているどき、、ぜひ　まいにち　しあわせて　いきる。あなたを　すきだ。
Brian: Only in your heart, when you think of me. I want you to live a great live. I love you.

Chantal and Brian hug.

ブライアン：さようなら。
Brian: Good bye.
