Trains often stop in Japan because of some accidents.

A train I took today was stopped because someone were one the rail way, I don't know why they do that, I often hear a conductor say the reason of train's stop is because someone is on the rail way.

Do you have this kind of things in your country?

(Use "the" because you rode one particular train and not referring to other type of trains. Use "was" because "someone" is singlular)

yeah....well...trains in the philippines break down/stops many times for many reasons.

I don't think I've encountered an instance where in the train would stop because there was someone on the tracks. Most of the reason was due to technical difficulties on the train itself or there is still a train in the station where my train is headed. ^^

It's a drag for commuters like me....>_<
