Getting Cold

I really hate the cold.
ほんとうに寒いのが嫌い。
So if I could live in a foreign country, I wouldn't be in a colder one.
だからもし他の国で生活するとしても寒いところは無理だな。
Can anybody who likes the winter season tell me the reason?
寒いのが好きな人は、その理由を教えてくれる？
I hate the cold and the dark where I feel lonely somehow.
私は寒いのと暗いのが苦手、なんとなくさびしいし。
One of my friends told me that he liked the cold weather because of that.
私の友達は、それだから、寒いの好きなんだとか。
I can't believe it!

One of my friends told me that he liked the cold (weather) because of that.
Well, I do enjoy some of those nights where everything is still and quiet, and when it's snowing you can almost hear the sound the snowflakes make when they hit the ground. That quiet and stillness can be eerily beautiful in a way. I also like the way the snow and the ice decorates the trees some days. But other than that, I can't think of any reason to like the winter, lol.
