Artificial intelligence is that the machine or computers have same ability of working as human, or the attempt to making those. In this time I asked my brother, who is interested in those kind topics, although he has never studied in academically. I asked three questions and he answered those questions. Here is the report of my interviews.
Those are my questions. Firstly I asked him what artificial intelligent is. Because I do not know about it at all, so as first step I asked him the definition of artificial intelligence. Secondly I asked him “do you think that there will be the totally same robot as human?” Because I think this is not only related to technical problem but also philosophical problems, and I believed that it is impossible to control human feeling by computer or technical machine. Therefore I choose this question. Third question is “do you think that this development of artificial intelligence is good for us or not”. Because I know that it is helpful for the person who has disability in inherent or the elder who is getting worse their ability. In contrast, it is harmful replacing people jobs or making people’s ability worse in some ways. So there are my three questions I asked him.
At first he answered that AI is broad field so it is difficult to answer. But he thinks that it is the intelligence that machine can think or perform as well as human being’s brain can do. About second question, he mentioned that there will be the totally same robot as human including the ability of feeling or thinking. He told me that there are some researches are going on with various researchers, like philosopher, biologist, geometrical scientist and recognition scientist. They are splitting their work each other, on contrast, they are combining their research each other. In order to this research he assumed that there will be the computer or robot as same as human being. At last, about my third question, he answered the development of artificial intelligence is not good for us. He knew AI is so scary and dangerous. And he told me the example story. He had a friend who had been talking about his girl friend. His friend said that he met her on online game. My brother thought she is the person who met on online game because he told about the date or travel with his girl friend. He spent so much money to buy clothes or sent a gift for her. In short he found that she is not exist and is artificial intelligence. However my brother’s friend believed that she is real. There is the proof. Artificial intelligence will control our mind and it is so scary. Therefore he strongly claimed that artificial intelligence is not good for us at all.
Those are the interview with my brother. I strongly think that artificial intelligence must be under control of us after I heard that story. Although there are useful to produce the robot for helping us, all abilities should be under control of human.
