I would like to study Asian studies and Media studies in USF.
At first, I would like to study Asian studies.
My interests in Asian study began when I went study abroad in NY. I had communicated with many different people. Through those communications, I have been fascinated at Asian culture. I realized that our polite culture is honorable in the world. I want many foreigners to know this culture and they would be admired it. I hope Asian countries will be advanced and peaceful countries with this honorable culture. So I am learning Asian study especially literature and culture.
In particular, in USF, it is located in the city which many Asian people live at. So it is the best place to study Asia studies around the United States. In addition, there is many kinds of classes not only literature or culture but also business or politics. The culture is related with plenty of area. Therefore I need to learn it from many different views and outsider’s views. That will be effective on my study in Japan.
Secondly, I would like to study Media studies.
Because I have interested in media work, especially TV, since I watched the TV news about 9.11 on the time. By the grace of Media we, who live far from the United States, were able to know those serious affair. Moreover at that time I was 12 years old. Even children can notice those difficult problems through the TV. Now I have stronger concern about it through the classes of Media study that I took in spring semester at my home University. I had researched about one radio station which was established at the great Hanshin earthquake. It was helpful for the foreign victims. Media could help people in many ways. For that reason I respect this worthy role of Media work and desire to work in this area.
Furthermore, in the USF, you offer a unique program in Media study which provides analysis conjunction with practice. Moreover you have many connection with local TV station, web based magazines and so on. So I hope that I will acquire the practical skill with sufficient academic knowledge.
That is why I need to study abroad in USF. It is rarely that there are both Asian and Media courses that I want to study. I hope that I study meaningfully and make use of those studies for my future.

I would like to study (concentrate in) Asian studies and media studies at USF (you may want to write out the name of the school).
