A film-- The Insider (1999)
I saw a movie named "The Insider" in my class today.
For the reason that there is no subtitle on the film, I could comprehend it only by listening, so, I could just understand 70% content. However, I still think it's a classic one.
The plot and the intrigue are interesting. I can't image the agony that Wigand suffered. Wigand, a high-level corporate "ex"-executive, tried to be a whistleblower to reveal everything he knew. Nevertheless, the power of tobacco was greater than he thought. Wigand lost his job, his home, and his family but he got anything except the truth. He was quite a tragic hero.
(TBC)
