It doesn’t seem, that I hate Christianity, but.. I have a lot of questions, in some way rude questions.....

I’d like to look through the ages from another point of view in this post – in a perspective of correlation between the main religion in the world and general wellbeing.....

Let’s remember the Dark Ages. I agree, that we don’t know, we can’t understand a lot of actions,, happened in those times, but I can surely assert, people in Egypt and Mesopotamia lived in wellbeing. No doubt, slavery isn’t an indicator of wellbeing, but it was a reality. For us, democrats and humanists, it’s very hard to understand this reality, but we shouldn’t forget about the violence in present times. But let’s return to our theme. In Ancient times we can notice a huge development of all spheres in human’s life. Let’s draw a parallel between the Dark Ages, in which an enormous decadence can be noticed. In fact, the Roman Empire was outdated. It can’t be everlasting empire, but let’s notice, that in those times the occurrence under the name of Christianity had gone forward at gait. But what was the main confession in Ancient Times? The paganism, heathenism. People had chance to choose, whom to pray and what to ask. Actually, what’s bad in it? That people lived on higher level than in Dark Ages? If we speak about the essence of paganism, we can say, that it’s very tough confession. But what about the Inquisition ? Is it a really nice fact in a history? No!....

So, let’s go further. People was given the choice in the Age of the Enlightenment. The freedom of choosing the religion or just refusal of it. So, what do wee see in those ages? Progress and development! By the way, just in those times people began to read Roman and Greek writers. And I think I shouldn’t mention the XXth century. The society of atheists gave us a computer, an internet, a possibility to learn outer space and a lot of “children of progress”. And now we can raise the question about the right choice of the main religion. ....

I don’t want to say, that the paganism is good and the Christianity is bad. Draw a conclusion in accord to your level of intelligence. But you should think about things, which you have to listen all days long. You are foisted off the life without choice, possibilities and progress. So.. let’s draw one main conclusion – is it right, that the Christianity dominates not as a faith, but as a religion nowadays? The freedom of faith wasn’t cancelled. But the freedom of choice wasn’t cancelled too. And now the choice is by your side. By our side.
