Quality in quantity

I've been polemicising with the best friend of mine about questinos of quality and quantity. First of all, i can say that i ask myself every day: what's more important for me - quantity or quality? And i suppose, that the mixed approach is the best choice for me.
To tell the truth, i choose quantity more often. But i'll describe my life's position visually to understand what's my attitude to "quantity" is. Let us suppose, that we're in library. But no books stand there - instead of books we try to imagine whole life and instead of library - whole space. Here is "The loveliest" shelf, where the things which are called my hobbies are. The rest shelves are sheer choice. I'm walking along the stacks and taking one "book", another... I'm looking all over it, taking it down or putt it off on the shelf "Interesting". On this shelf great amount of things are situated - everything, that provokes my interest. When i feel tired from my "walking", i return to the "Interesting"-shelf to sort everything in it. Something can be replaced in "The loveliest" shelf. This is my approach to quantity. Try everything what you want in spite of its quality and then (only when you have tried it) sort everything depending on its quality.
For example, i believe that the ideal dance is the dance, in which a lot of differents elements are connected to each other in harmony. The professional classic dance, in which you can see all the cannons, makes us bored, because you can learn every element in it. But when you have nothing to expect, just like in mixed dance, you'll never feel bored, of course, if there's a harmony between all the movements. And the dance becomes ideal - just like life, in which all different parts are sorted and combined with a balance.
