He is a badass, and example for the Japanese youth of today. I admire him deeply and i hope the Japanese goverment does not hire Yakuza to kill him. Because he is brilliant.
I read Tomo-san's entries religiously because they are so funny and sometimes (maybe most times), controversial. He shares with his lang-8 friends his life experiences, his views on Japan (and the rest of the world) and his never dying determination to improve his English.
Tomo's journals never ceases to amuse.
Let's hope you become proficient soon so you can laugh at every asshole who belittle your ambitions and claimed that it is impossible for you to master English.
I always laugh when I read Tomo's journals. I thought Japanese people were serious all the time, but I think Tomo has a good sense of humor. Through his entries, I can learn about the dark side of Japanese society. I don't think Japan is the ideal society that it appears to be, and it helps me to learn about all aspects of it. I do think Japanese people are generally pretty nice though.
Tomo is very helpful since he always translates English sentences into Japanese, so you can easily learn how what you want to say would actually be said by a native speaker! : )
