In PowerSoft 3.1.3 we introduced an alternate method for connecting to WorldDB. If PowerSoft fails to connect using the primary method, it will try the alternate method. However, if it still does not work, you can try to manually change the connection attempt order.

1 Close PowerSoft
2 Open Windows Explorer, type the following in the address bar, and hit Enter:

去年の十一月に、日本からカナダに帰ってきて三ヶ月間ずっと仕事を探していました。先週、仕事がやっと見つかりました。翻訳会社で。明日は初日です。

英語でのタイトルはFreelance　Coordinatorです。

というのは、私は文章をもらって、その文章を翻訳できるフリーランスの人を見つけないといけません。

まだ仕事が始まっていない今は仕事が簡単なようですが、明日本格的に仕事の内容が分かります。

仕事が決まったから、この一週間新しい生活の準備をしていました。新しい車を買ってアパートをかりました。毎日家具や荷物を移動していました。疲れた！

今日は早く寝たほうがよさそうです。

基本的な意味や役割は分かっていると思います。英語に直訳すると、「は」は英語の「about」という意味で、「が」は英語の「it is me/you/that」という意味を表します。

例えば：
私はカナダ人です。
About me, Canadian.

A:誰がカナダ人？
B:私がカナダ人です。
It is me (who is) Canadian.

と言いますと、「は」はメイントピックを導入して、「が」は強調します。でも長い文で、いつも迷っています。

何で漢字を勉強せずに日本語がそんなに上手になったのか理解できません。私には、話すのがまだむずかしいのです。話すとき、途中でよくつっかえてしまうし、文法の間違いもいっぱいしてしまいます。でも、漢字は結構読めるようになりました。

学習法は人それぞれですね。どちらかというと、私は視覚的で、友達は聴覚的かもしれません。

最近結構忙しいけど、実は日記を書いていないのは日本語の勉強をする気がないからです。やる気を出したいです！

日本に来たのは三年前でしたが、今年の十一月にカナダに帰ることにしました。　私の息子は日本で生まれたので、カナダにまだ行ったことがありません。まだ八ヶ月だから、日本のこともカナダのこともまだ全然分かっていませんが、彼が初めてカナダに行くことを考えたら、私はなんとなく感動します。

カナダでの生活は今の生活と全然違うと思います。

昨夜、アバターという映画を借りて、見ました。
Last night, I rented and watched the movie Avatar.

アバターのことは何ヶ月前にテクノロジーのポッドキャストで初めて聞きました。普通のテレビゲームと違って、アバターのゲームとアバターの映画は同時に開発されていたと聞きました。
I first heard about Avatar a few months ago on a technology podcast. I heard that the Avatar movie and the Avatar video games were developed at the same time, unlike most movie games that are developed after the movie.

テレビゲームをしないので、あまりアバターのゲームとアバターの映画に興味がありませんでしたが、昨夜映画をみて、楽しみました。
I don't play video games, so I wasn't particularly curious about either the movie or the games, but last night I watched and enjoyed the movie.

アバターのストーリーは、アルファ・ケンタウリのパンドラという星で起こります。人間は希少鉱物を発掘したいです。思っていたより、ストーリーは深いです。私の妻は大好きでした。私も映画が好きで、お勧めします。
The story takes place on Pandora, a moon in the Alpha Centauri star system. Humans are after a precious mineral. The story is more deep than I expected, and my wife loved it. I also enjoyed it, and think it's a good movie. I would recommend it.

文法やライティング、リーディング、リスニング、会話を教えるスクールです。
It's a school where they teach grammar, writing, reading, listening and conversation.

３回面接に行って、びっくりすることに、私が選ばれました。
I went to three interviews, and to my surprise, they picked me.

しかし今日は申し出を断りました。
But today, I had to refuse the offer.

今英会話で働いていて、もし新年の一週間前辞めていたら現在のスクールはスケジュールを全部変えないといけなくなりません。そして私の同僚の何人かはもっと働けなければなりません。
I am currently working at a conversation school, and if I quit with only a week left before the new year, they would have had to reschedule everything. Some of my colleagues would have had to work much more.

正しいことを決めたか分かりません。その新しい仕事は素晴らしい仕事の経験になっていますが、現在の同僚はひどく困ってしまいます。
I don't know if I made the right decision or not. That new job would have been a fantastic work experience, but I would have put my current colleagues in a tough spot.

とても大変な一週間でした。考えすぎました。

今夜、妻と息子としゃぶしゃぶを食べに行きました。
Tonight, I went to eat shabushabu with my wife and son.

この辺に好きなしゃぶしゃぶのレストランがあります。　MKというレストランです。日本のチェーン店ですか。
There is a shabushabu place here that we like very much. It's called MK. Is it a chain restaurant in Japan?

長い間行ってなかったです。肉と野菜をたくさん食べました。バミー麺を三人前も食べました。

山を登っている気がします。
I feel like I have been climbing a mountain.

毎日登り続けていきます。
Everyday, I keep climbing and climbing.

見下ろすと、もうたくさん登ったことが見えます。だから、たくさん進歩しました。有望です。
When I look down, I can see that I have climbed a lot. So I have progressed a lot. That's encouraging.

でも見上げると、山の頂上がまだ遠いです。気落ちします。
But when I look up, I see that I am still very far from the summit. It's discouraging.

一歩ずつ登り続けなければなりません。
I must keep climbing one step at a time.

The gift was for my son's birth. She sent me a baby handprint kit.

粘土で赤ちゃんの手と足の形をとって鋳型を作ってから、その鋳型に石膏液を注いで乾燥させます。その固まった手形と足形にはペンキを塗って、額に入れます。
After creating a clay mold　by stamping the baby's hand or foot, we pour liquid plaster into it and let it dry. Once it's dry, we can paint it and frame it.

もちろん、石膏は非毒性だから、赤ちゃんと子供と安全に使えます。
Of course, the paste is non-toxic so it's safe to use with babies and kids.

独創的なプレゼントだと思います。

スクワットをしている時にけがをしましたが、重傷ではなくてちょっと膝を痛めただけです。

過去二年間スポーツジムに行っていましたが、退会してバーベルを買いました。家で運動することにしました。

But I've been doing squats the wrong way.

スクワットをする時に、ちょっと下を向いて身を乗り出しすぎていました。 それは膝に負担をかけます。
When doing squats, I've been looking down and leaning forward too much. This puts pressure on the knees.

今スクワットの正しいやり方について読んだばかりです。顔を上げて足の指に体重をかけないように注意しないといけないです。それで、膝の痛みと腰痛を防ぎます。
I just read about the proper way of doing squats. I have to look up, and make sure I don't put my weight on my toes. This prevents knee pain as well as back pain.

もっと足を開いて、もっとバーを後ろに持つことも大事です。
It's also important to spread my legs apart more, and hold the bar farther back.
