I didn't agree to the death penalty before, but these days, there are happening so many serious crimes in the world.
In Korea, several weeks ago one little girl who is only 9years old became disabled. She was going to the school and one old man draged her to a park and beated her. When she passed out, the man raped her for several times and her anus and colon ruptured. Even though she fainted the man didn't stopped raping. After the rape, he tried to get rid of his semen, he used plunger to her vagina. So her guts came out of her stomach, he put her head into the toilet and raped again and again. And now, the little girl's anus is located at her stomach. therefore, she have to carry the pack to excrete for her whole life. But the court sentenced him only to 12 years, moreover, that knave appealed against the decision. At the first, he even admitted his crime. He don't know why it is that wicked thing. If he come out from the jail after 12years, then he will do same thing again.
It would seem it's too big(strong) sentence to give the death penalty to him, but compare to saddness of the girl's parents, it will not that strict penalty.
An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth is not that good idea but sometimes I think it's.....necessary. I feel really pity for her...

This really is a terrible and deeply saddening event :(:(:( When I read the sentence for this horrendous and unforgivable crime I too thought the sentence of 12 years was almost a joke for what had occurred. I do not know what sentence would be given in my country but I hope it would be for life... This poor girl's life was almost taken from her. It is tantamount to murder in my eyes. It is disgraceful that he should only be given 12 years, especially when it is not even apparent if this little girl is going to live. Who would want to live a life like that? She may end up committing suicide ㅠ.ㅠ That is the truth of the matter, however nasty it sounds.

You have done a really good job here writing on a difficult subject, which is hard for many English speakers themselves to write about with the empathy and integrity you have shown.

Personally I do not believe in the 'death penalty' because I think it is barbaric. I once wrote a speech about it. Here is a quote that I used:

'how does killing a killer show that killing is wrong?'

This means that it doesn't set a good example to show that killing is wrong by killing someone else. We are human beings and we do not have to sink to the level of murderers. I can understand if people think differently, and if I had a loved one killed then I may change my mind about this. It is a very complex issue which you have handled well here.

Let's hope that there is enough pressure to make this case be re-assessed so he be given a life sentence or a very long one at that. It is more important than anything because of the message that it will send out to others who may be contemplating such heinous crimes.

I hope this wasn't too difficult to understand. If not then you are really getting close to a native speaker-level of comprehension ^^
