Minnesota
Tänä aamulla veljeni tuli kotiin. Hän on lomalla. Hän osti postikortit minulle.Hän oli Minnesotassa pari viikoa sitten. Hän oli Minnesotossa, koska hänen hankkeensa. Hän kirjoitaa hänen 'thesis' Tapauksessa, hän osti minulle postikortteja. Pidän niistä. =) Hän tietää, että kerään postikortteja. Hehe Olen 'postcrosser' ja minulla on paljon postikortit Suomesta.

Hän oli Minnesotassa koska (hänen) hankkeensa vuoksi/takia. | I'm not sure if hanke is the best word in this use. It sounds a bit formal to me. Here's some alternatives: Häni oli Minnesotassa opintojensa(=his studies)/projektinsa(=his project) vuoksi.
Hän kirjoitaa hänen opinnäytetyötä. Joka tapauksessa, hän osti minulle postikortteja. | I hope this is what you wanted to say.
