Secure the data - 2

First I verified the backup data which I wanted to restore.
And then I ran it through Acronis True Image(ATI) on Windows Xp.
Of course Windows Xp was shut down to rewrite c drive, and then ATI was restarted. The rest of the story was through ATI as a operating software.

My backup data was on a external HDD conected with USB.
When it was worked on Windows, all the process was quick, but when it was out of Windows, data transfer was slowed and ATI said that it would take 8 hours to restore c drive !

The process had already gotten started, so I couldn't quit it.
If I had stopped it at that time, I would have lost the c-drive data and I couldn't return to the Windows dependent system. So that I could do was only to wait.
The Bios on my computer might not be adapted for USB 2.0.
This was the first time I realized that.

Well done. Good luck with the computer!

Thank you so much for the corrections.

>So that I could do was only to wait.
So the only thing I could do was to wait.

The two of the expressions are very alike, but have quite different meanings!
I'd like to understand these difference naturally.
