Flu
Today, there is bad news.
Flu is going around in the care facility I work at.
As a safeguard against flu, we wash hands and gargle and wear masks regularly as well as inoculation.
We have taken care of our self.
But, there was death caused by flu last week.
It is really bad news.
Better watch out for yourself.

The flu is going around in the care facility I work at.
As a safeguard against flu, we wash our hands and gargle (with water) and wear masks regularly as well as inoculate ourselves/the residents.
We have taken care of our selves. (Selves = the plural form of 'self')
But, there was a death caused by the flu last week.
It was really bad news. (Was = the past tense of is)
You better watch out for yourself. (Note: this is a very informal way of saying 'Take care of yourself' (Or お大事に) and is unlikely to be used on the news in English speaking countries as it sounds a bit arrogant. It still makes sense but I thought I'd bring it to your attention).
