Saya sayang harimau harimau. Saya suka harimau.
Saya sayang singa singa. Saya suka singa.
Kamu bukan kejam. Kamu tidak kejam.
But if you're referring yourself as a man, then 'sayang' won't do it. 'Suka' would be better.
But I have a Malaysian friend who taught me some words. I like very much how they sound. Some of them are very similar to Finnish words!
I also haven't studied Malay grammar yet, but it seems so easy. :-)
'Sayang' is used more to show affection. As in :
I love you : Saya sayang awak.
I love my son : Saya sayang anak saya.
'Suka' is more to show that you like something. As in :
I like to belajar : Saya suka belajar.
I like that song : Saya suka lagu itu.
You don't say : Saya sayang lagu itu. That doesn't sound right.
Well, I think you know that to make something plural, you just have to double the word. But in your case up there, it doesn't have to. For example :
The books are expensive! : Buku-buku itu mahal!
But in your case, you are reffering to a general term 'lions' and 'tigers'. Reading that sentence is quite funny.
I like tigers! - Saya suka harimau. (general)
Those tigers are cute - Harimau harimau itu comel. (specific)
I hope that will give you something! Enjoy learning!
Saya singa dan kamu harimau.
Saya sayang kamu akan harimau.
The reduplication can only be used without any number/amount before it.
E.g : Those cups are mine. Cawan-cawan itu saya punya.
You only use the plural-reduplication form of nouns in these kind of sentences.
