Information
Our world is full of information. The flows of millions and millions of bytes – kilo, mega, giga – crash in our reality without asking the permission.
The older I am the more important I deem to filter the sources and the content. Actually that doesn’t mean that I have never done it before but surfing the net day by day you become more sophisticated information consumer.
If I need news as facts I get it from BBC and Euronews. Otherwise in order to check the opinions/get the updates regarding particular topics (like trips, new kids’ books, new Japanese dramas or coming events in (?) places which I use to visit) I surf the blogosphere.
Non/fiction books and Wiki provide me with the expanded and thoughtful explanations of occurrences and events which are of my interest at the moment.
Fiction books are in charge of emotions and feelings as well as some blogs which I have been collecting for many years. Emotions are various – nostalgia, elation, joy, sadness, compassion.
National Geographic satisfies (?) my passion to both stories about trips and printed glance magazines.
Kids’ books – real not electronic - just make me feel alive.
I don’t watch TV and rarely listen to the radio. I watch DVDs and downloaded episodes of some series mainly in English to have an extra chance to practice my skills.
So I guess that’s it. More or less :-)
