I'm Wizary, age 24. I'm an Russian.
Now I'm learning Japanese and English. English, well, approximately two or three years in the high school (1-2 year of the REAL studying :) and everyday using in the Web... But i have troubles with the fluent English sentences composition. My English is overloaded with the Russian loan-translations etc. I willing to achieve satisfactory level in English with your help :)
My hobbies is the bass-guitar, foreign languages, science, anime and manga, other nice Japanese things as visual novellas and games (DDR, PIU (i know that is Korean).

  • My hobbies are the bass-guitar, foreign languages, science, anime and manga, and other nice Japanese things like visual novels and games, for example DDR and PIU (I know that is Korean). (Would sound a bit better if you included a verb before each of these things, like "playing the bass guitar, learning languages, etc," but it's fine. It would also sound better if you grouped all Japanese things together, like "...science, Japanese things like anime, manga, visual novels and games...")

Your English is pretty good. I know what you mean with high school study vs. real study, lol. High school language classes aren't that great, huh?

Loan-words and loan-translations both exist. "Абажур", for example, is a loanword, because it sounds just like "abat-jour"; if it were a loan-translation, it would be "убидень" (abat=slaughters; jour=day). Loan-translations are also called calques.
