I love karaoke and my American or Australian friends love it.
We had a good time to sing J-pop in Tokyo.
We love J-pop! Yeah!
Karaoke in Japan is reasonable and excellent, I highly recommend for you.
Oh, I forgot I am an English learner so I started to try some English songs recently.
Carpenters and ABBA's songs are easy because they are not too fast.
When I sung Donna Summer's "Hot Stuff" and "Bad Girl", I screwed up.
By the way, the most hardest song I've ever tried was "WannaBe"
Is it difficult for native English speakers?
It sounds tongue twister for me.
Do you have any recommended English songs?

私はカラオケが大好きで、アメリカ人やオーストラリア人の友達もカラオケが好きです。
私たちは東京で日本の歌を歌って楽しみました。
J-pop

I love karaoke and my American and Australian friends love it.
Karaoke in Japan is reasonably priced and excellent. I highly recommend it to you.
It is hard to recommend songs for other people, I think. The best is to do songs you enjoy singing. Even if you screw up, it's still fun.
You, too? I'm relieved to hear that.
The closing ceremony of the Olympics, Spice Girls appeared that.
Of course, they sang Wannabe!
Thank you for your corrections.
Ahahaha You want to learn it?
シブがき隊の「スシ食いねェ!」ですよ。^^
シブがき隊はむかし、ジャニーズ事務所にいました。

"the most difficult" or "the hardest" are okay.
It sounds like a tongue twister to me.
Also, I don't like J-pop. Sorry Mika! haha
I usually listen to metal music, or classical music. They are my favourite two genres. ^_^
I've never tried Karaoke before. Maybe I'll try it when I go to Japan. But I think I am bad at singing. haha
Where do you usually go with your friends?
Japanese college students really love karaoke, izakaya and pachinko. haha.
Metal and classical....Mmmm The opposit music?
Thank you for your corrections.
I don't see my friends so often now because we have different uni schedules, or they have finished uni and work full-time, etc. But when we meet we usually go out for dinner, maybe to a bar, movies, etc.
We recently bought tickets to a music festival called Soundwave in Feb next year. It's mostly rock and metal music. The bands playing are not as good as this year's, but there are a few bands on the list that we think are worth the money. ^_^
When I go to Japan, I plan on trying karaoke with any Japanese friends of course. But my singing is still no good. haha
Oh, I see, I'm curious about uni students life in other countries.
Some J-pop singers are sooo childish.
We have アイドル genre, some of them don't have ability of singing and acting.
We have かわいい culture so they can exist in entertainment industory.
Their stage had fluffy cartoon clouds with smiling faces drawn on them, and their microphones had smiling cartoon suns. I thought the band was for small children, but our teacher said they are very popular in Japan. ^^;
I am not a fan of those kinds of music, and don't listen at all, but the Korean girl groups are really pretty. Hahaha
I sang some songs of Korean girls group KARA last time.
Do you go often? Are you good at singing?
I found the name of that korean group my friend showed me before. It's called 'Girl's Generation'. They are really pretty. haha
The Japanese artists I listen to occasionally are 吉田兄弟 and マキシマムザホルモン. I listened to X-Japan in the past too. Do you know any of them?
Not often, I must say I'm a good singer. Just kidding!
I think one of the reasons karaoke boxes are more popular in Asia than Western countries is because it is ok for couples to get romantic in public here. In Japan, if you are on a date you have to go somewhere private, right :D
What kind of songs do you like?
There are a lot of karaoke boxes here so some people go to karaoke alone and sing millions of songs.
This is one of our cultures.
Thank you for your comment.
まさかこのお色気songをシラフで歌ってるんじゃないですよね?
jakenさんの声、素敵だなあと思ってました、あの声で音痴? う~ん
Thank you for your comment.
next time, i will fly into kansai and avoid tokyo all together.
so many people, the air quality is terrible, and people are cold and indifferent.
take me anywhere in japan but the entire kanto area.
How long had you been in Tokyo?
I'm curious about your bad experience here, if you don't mind, could you tell me about that?
