I was in my office at the time of the earthquake.

At first, I didn't think it was so big. But five seconds later, I realized that this was not the same as usual and I huddled under my desk at once.

During the earthquake, I was crying in horror.
The shaking continued one or two minutes and it seemed like endless time.

After the earthquake, colleagues and I escaped the building and went to the evacuation area.
There were hundreds of people and we couldn't understand what happened.

The second shock of the earthquake occurred several minutes later.
There were some lightings on 15th foolr, I guess.
And those were swung hard as if its cables would break.
Also, our building itself was swug hard as if it would jar with the next building.
Some people were screaming in horror and I couldn't see our building with tear.

After things calm down, we were back to the office and began to go home.
All trains stopped due to the earthquake. However, a colleague of mine came to the office by car. Thus, she gave me a lift a part of the way.

Traffic was hell.
I left her car on the way and began to walk.
There were hundreds of people walking on the street.
I couldn't use cell phone to call but not internet. Thus, I checked the distance on internet.

It was less than 20 kilometer from the point. Therefore, I decided to go home on foot. Because I was desperately worried about my dog and cat.

It took about four hours to my house.
Fortunately, there was not broken stuff and they were safe.
I couldn't watch TV because cable television didn’t work. After an hour, it fixed and I was shocked by the damage on TV.
The tsunami was not seem like reality. Who would have expected this?

A series of aftershocks is still continuing now though it is decreasing.
However, I will never forget this huge crises and I would like to make effort toward the recovery.

I pray for the victims and wish for peace.

Your English is great! Please ask if you have questions. :)

I can't imagine how it was, and I can't imagine how it is now.. I'm glad to hear you are okay.

I donated some money, but that is all I can do. I wish everything will be okay soon, I really hope so.

Hi じゃっくさん. Thanks for your collection and also your donation and kind words.
I felt anew the weightiness of peace.

I’d like to help victims of the disaster if I can. But unfortunately, all I can do is donation and saving electricity.
Hope that injured people will soon recover.

I hope so too!

Many small things can become something big. It is all you can do, but it helps. :)
